Why MyBioWell Exists
The Problem We Solve
Indians have a silent nutrition crisis. According to national health surveys, a large majority of Indian vegetarians fall short on calcium, vitamin B12, iron, protein, and vitamin D — often without any obvious symptoms until damage accumulates. Generic calorie charts and one-size-fits-all diets do not address this because every body needs a different nutrient balance based on age, gender, weight, activity level, and health conditions.
MyBioWell was built to fix this specific problem: show you which nutrients your Indian vegetarian diet is missing, and which Indian foods fix each possible nutrient gaps through transparent, food-based, data-backed guidance.
Who Built This
MyBioWell was created by PRKS, a specialist in AI/ML, mathematical optimisation, and data-driven product design. The platform applies techniques from intelligent systems research — including Mixed Integer Linear Programming and statistical nutrient modelling — to solve a real-world public-health problem: hidden nutrient gaps in everyday Indian vegetarian meals.
All nutritional methodology and food-based recommendations are reviewed by Dr Abhilash, a qualified medical professional who ensures clinical accuracy and safety of the guidance provided.
How Recommendations Are Produced
Every recommendation MyBioWell generates follows this pipeline:
- Your profile — age, gender, height, weight, activity level, region, and any health conditions (diabetes, PCOD, BP, thyroid)
- Nutrient targets — calculated using ICMR-NIN recommended dietary allowances with body-size scaling and condition-specific modifiers
- Food matching — 287+ Indian vegetarian foods from the IFCT 2017 (Indian Food Composition Tables) database, covering North, South, East, West, and Central cuisines
- AI optimisation — a Mixed Integer Linear Programming (MILP) solver balances all 12 target nutrients simultaneously to find the best combination of foods for your body
What Makes This Different
